The Wes Paul Band arrived in Montgomery 16th September 2011. The weather was warm but cool for the time of the year. It was quite dark when we arrived - we had driven a 224 miles (plus) including stops of interest along the way. We checked in at The Hampton Inn and Suites Hotel (which is next door to The Hank Williams Museum) and got a decent parking space. The room was fabulous as always (on the seventh floor) and we decided to chill for the rest of the evening. Early next morning we had a really good breakfast. I had a big bowl of fruit (melon and such-like) followed by Boiled eggs, Cheese omelette, Toast, Cranberry juice and bold coffee. We collected things together and drove over to Oakwood Cemetery for Hank's wreath laying ceremony. There were already many fans there and two members of The Sheppard's (Audrey Williams kin) played Hank Williams songs for those present. Later the Wes Paul Band appeared with other bands and musicians at The Hank Williams Museum
